Chase Bank is Still Down as of 11:30 PM EDT and many disgruntled customers have been experiencing problems for 15 hours now and unfortunately the reason is still not known.
What Chase bank have to say about it?
“It is just a technical problem and will be fixed soon”.
It is still now known what the real problem was, but we can hardly guess it because the slightest difference of the reasons will affect more than 16.5 million people who manage their financial decisions with Chase and it doesn’t end here.
A bank is related to other banks as much as it is related to its own branches now, that said, for a bank like Chase Bank, The second largest bank in USA after Bank of America (No. 1 bank in America), such problems are a shame for the technical department.
Guesses about the Failure or Downtime:
1. Security Breach : Hopefully that’s not the case here because people can still use ATM and make payments with cash.
2. Heavily Loaded Server: Could be the case but then the question arises, could they have not built their servers with state-of-art technology? Or If they had then why is it that it shut down unexpectedly or could not take the load all of a sudden?
There is a possibility of a sudden rise in transactions enough to put the servers at a break but one can not even think of getting it down for so long.
Reports are coming from all over the world, cause people who aren’t in connection with Chase bank directly, are somehow related to it in some other way. Like some (many when it comes to such a great bank) people who do business with people who have their money in Chase bank and online banking is the only solution for them. Many people have business bank account with Chase and they might be suffering many financial decisions at this time.
So I can only imagine how frustrating it is going to be (and had been) till the servers are up and running at full speed again. Let’s hope that it all fixes sooner than what Chase bank has declared, “It will be fixed soon.”
