| Send Files Using Adobe Send Now |
I hope that you are enjoying the latest version ofAdobe PDF Reader, i.e. Adobe X. So, let me tell you how to sendfiles using SendNow option in Adobe X, alright?
I guess that you do like the multimediaside of Apple’s new geeky device. Well, who doesn’t? Anyways, I would like toreview one of the Xilisoft’s latest software products, i.e. Xilisoft iPadMagic.
Isn’tthis interface too simple and unattractive? Huh! Is it? Well, to be perfectlyhonest, I did think so! But then I thought to myself, would I prefer a fancylooking, heavily loaded interface? If I am in a hurry, then I don’t think sothat’s a good idea.
An update for Adobe Flash Player is available for download and install. This update contains some bug fixes, security enhancements, better HD performance, support for full-screen playback on multiple monitors.
Download this update as soon as possible from Adobe. The Update is only 2.7 MB in size.
Did you notice something in your Dashboard of wordpress platform based blog? A little yellow bar telling you that another update for WordPress is available. Yeah friends, 3.0.5 is on the roll. But, don’t get your hopes too high, there is nothing fancy going on here.
This update only include some security strengthening files and scripts. There is no change in the interface and functionality.
Anyway, you might be more interested in knowing that WordPress release candidate 3.1 is also available for you at WordPress.org 3.1 RC.
You might want to give it a try. However, I recommend you to create a subdomain from your hosting’s cpanel, just type www.yourdomainname.com (or in or whatever)/cpanel, if you have selected a cpanel based hosting service.
You don’t have to mess around with several options, just create a new sub-domain and upload 3.1 RC’s content in it. After that, you can mess around as much as you wish. Play with the RC and tell us how you feel about it in the comments section below.
What is it?
Join.me is a screen – share service and it is clear from that line that ‘it shares your screen’. To be clear here, Join.me is available for Windows and Mac based system.
Now let me tell why it is better than other screen sharing services.
Interface
Join.me does not have any interface other than a little bar that holds few options. They go like these:
Speed
Join.me works like a charm but it does need some cleaning and optimization. It works great on the ‘master machine’ but when you click on ‘Share Control’, the experience is not the same on the other machines. This could be possibly because of the Internet connection and in that case, there is nothing to worry about if you have a connection of 512 KBPS or more.
Clutter
There are no extra options or confusing settings or anything like that. You just have a bar with the access code to connect other machines via Join.me website and buttons to do what I mentioned in interface section.
However, if you do think that it’s still a lot of clutter, which is clearly not, and then you can just press that little minimize button to have the screen all to yourself. On the other machines, you have a ‘maximize’ button to have the application show your ‘master machine’s screen’ in full glory.
It does not affect the speed of data transmission; in fact, you would not feel a thing. Anyway, if you don’t to see the whole screen of your host or master machine, you can always select the ‘zoom’ setting from ‘fit to screen’ to ’50%’.
You can just scroll to zoom in and out and that’s the sweetest thing that this little application can offer.
Performance
How do you get it working?
Well, you just open Join.me and choose the option ‘Share’. This will allow you to download a little executable file, only 1.02 MB that goes by the name Join.me.exe. When you run that software, you will receive that ‘little’ interface and a code to let other machines connect to you and watch your screen.
On the other machines, you open the website, Join.me and choose the option ‘join’ and though you do not have to click anywhere, you do have to paste that code generated from the master machine.
You can email the code to your customers or people you want to share your screen with. However, I must warn you ahead, that if your receivers do not have a nice Internet connection, then they might have to wait once a second for the screen to update.
You can have the other machines control yours by sharing control from your ‘little interface thingy’. It’s not all that fancy. The mouse doesn’t act normal from other machines but it’s a nice thing when you want to have some other person do something for you.
Like your parents share your screen with you and they need find something in their computer but they can’t. All you have to tell you is guide them through this screen share program and have them ‘share control’ with you. Rest is just an easy deal, you get control of their mouse and you can search the file for them.
There are lots of other uses to this feature and I am sure that you’ll figure them out.
Conclusion
Join.me offers and amazing service and it’s available for free. That’s the best part. Also, you can share every single device that can open Join.me and have you enter the code. Now, let me see, what are those devices? Hmm… Pretty much everyone!! iPhone, iPad, Samsung Tab, Xoom tablet, etc., whatever you feel like sharing screen of and from.
So, give this service a try and you’ll figure out your needs. Also, there is a paid pro version with a 14-day trial period. But you can live with the free version as well.
You may have read my previous article in which I demonstrated the method of successfully updating or restoring your Ipod Classic in a step by step process(size doesn’t matter, whether it is 40GB or 120GB, the method is same). If not then feel free to read it here (link to my previous article).
In this article I will tell you an easy way of organizing your music or videos in way that is easier to manage than throwing lots of stuff in your Ipod irregularly.
