I startedworking with HubPages on August 2010, you can check out my very first articleon HubPages, named Dell Inspiron 15r First Impressions – Review. Till then, thoughI wasn’t much involved in writing articles with HubPages (I would rather use‘with’ than ‘for’) with so much going on around me. However, I still found sometime and posted few articles in these 6 months. So, here is an honest review(like many others) about performance of HubPages in 6 months… in list style.
· Thebest thing that I like about HubPages is how quickly my articles got indexed byGoogle search engine. Nearly all of my visitors came from Google search,thereby, making my traffic ‘organic’ and not referred.
· Folkswho came from Google usually clicked on ads because when they searched for aparticular term and visited my article, they saw a relevant Google Adsense ad,which some of them usually clicked.
· Ididn’t make lots of fortune with HubPages, but still I managed to earn $331 insix months (in which $181 came in February alone), which is not so lessconsidering I posted only 40 articles in this time span, which is a lot lessthan what top Hubbers recommend.
· Ipersonally think that 100 articles on HubPages is the best way to go, if youreally want to squeeze out the potential of HubPages and make some extra cashfor your bills and even mortgage. It is obvious that if you really want to makesome living out of HubPages, then you need to work as hard as if it is your ownbusiness (like blog or website or anything that you can completely devoteyourself into).
· Ihave started to work more and more with HubPages as I started to see the vastpotential of HubPages and now, for every article I post, I can be certain thatI will make at the very least, $1. If you think about it, $1 for each articleis not that much great but since your article will always be on HubPages forpeople to see, you will generate revenue on lifetime basis.
· Iam not saying that you should rely on just 100 articles. Like you do apart-time that take nearly 5 to 6 hrs of yours, writing an article for HubPageseveryday takes only 30-minutes, when written with pictures and videos and a checkfor errors (spelling and grammatical).
· So,if you can work for 6 hrs everyday for HubPages and type out quality content(which is nothing but true information that you deliver honestly) everyday,then you will be able to reach the payout limit of Adsense in your very firstmonth, which will give you confidence for writing some more content.
· Workingfor HubPages does not require any hard and fast rules, but a little devotionwould be great to actually churn out a living after working 6 hrs every day for3 months. After that, all you have to do is work for only 30-minutes each dayto ensure that you are actively participating and giving HubPages what theywant.
· Ishould clear that the above statement is not for some extra-cash. If you arecertain that you can handle 6 hours each day (without fail) for 3 months, thenyou would not be needing a job, let alone a part-time one.
· SEOfor HubPages is not what everyone is so freaked about. All you have to do is,type out your main keyword (means the matter on which your whole post is allabout) as heading, HubPages takes care of URL (which is the same as yourheading and is already search engine friendly), be as specific on the categorysection as you can be, so that your articles point towards right readers and typetags that you think people would search for, while searching for the matterthat is inside your article.
· If,I am being too confusing here, then you should let me know and I will be gladto help you out.
Few lastwords before I leave. HubPages is not a scam because I have received my firstAdsense check and most of the revenue came from HubPages. So… don’t waste yourtime for searching ‘is HubPages scam?’ on Google. Just grab a desk and type outwhat you can. A great start would be 10 articles (in a day or two, not in amonth), so that you can see your first few dollars rolling in Adsense account andgiving you more confidence for future articles.

First ofall, this article is not about HubPages. However, it will contain how much Iearned from HubPages and the amount is awesome in itself for the first check. Ihope you realize the pleasure and relief of receiving your first check. So…let’s proceed with this article… in list style.
· Ireceived my check for January 2011 on 9th March 2011.
· Theearnings were accumulated (finalized) on 6th of February, means justone week of the following month, you can be certain on how much you earned inprevious month and if (fortunately) you crossed the payout limit ($100 withoutself-holds), this would be the amount Adsense will pay you in the followingmonth.
· Earningsdon’t usually arrive in the following month if you don’t have wire-transferfacility by Google in your country. Standard Delivery is the option for mostcountries including India.
· On24th to 26th of the following month (in my case Februaryfor earnings in January), your earnings will be issued for a check procedure(or wire transfer).
· Onthe last of that month (February in this case), 28th, your check(for Standard Delivery) will be sent from an Airmail (from AmphitheatreParkway, CA) to your country and you will get the check by Post or via localcourier service.

· InIndia, this procedure is connected with BlueDart courier service and the checkarrives in 2 days after BlueDart receives it from CA to their Hyderabad centre.In my case, I wasn’t able to track the package as soon as I saw Payment Issued(after 28th Feb) because until BlueDart receives your check, thereis no database record to show.
· Thereis nothing to panic about; if there are holidays running in country then thecourier might be delayed. As for reference, my check was delivered on 5thof February to BlueDart courier service and I could track the package afterthat via Payment Number that you can find in Payment Details, which is just like this “Payment Issued>Details”.
· Youneed to visit BlueDart website to track your package and it’s not a big deal.You have to select Reference Number rather than WayBill.
· Sothese were the procedures and now let us talk about my first Adsense check.
It is notthat big, but since it was my first check, I am way too glad to show it to you.
· Ihope you are already familiar with Adsense policies about sharing your personaldetails about payment. This is why; I have omitted the check and client number,my last name, etc.
· Asyou can see it is INR 7982.44, which was $177.23 (exactly) in USD.
· So,it may seem a small amount but wait till you hear what I have accumulated inFebruary and yeah, that’s genuine and again, not too big.
· InFebruary, I have earned $204.33 (exactly, since earnings have been finalized)and HubPages contributed $181.01 for this journey.
· I’lltell you about “HubPages after six months” (a review about HubPages) in myother article on HubPages.
· Tillthen, have fun in writing and believe that reaching $100 in a month is not thatmuch difficult as you already think it is.

Download WordPress 3.1 – Review

WordPress has released the 14th version of WordPress and it has an amazing feel with some very good enhancements.
Interface
After updating to WordPress 3.1, I got a soft feel on my desktop that something has just turned from being rigid and hard to soft and cute.
The interface looks changed a little, however, it is same as before.
Features
- In 3.1, it is easy to link to your existing posts. You already know how important it is to interlink your posts if they are relevant.
Before this, I had to copy the link by going to ‘posts’ option, but now it is much easier. If you have to link to your existing post, all you have to do is select the keyword or phrase that you want to attach it to, click ‘Hyperlink’ as before and now you’ll have a retouched edition with just two fields, i.e. URL and Title. Click on ‘link to existing content’ and you will be presented with a list of your blog posts. You have to select a particular post and click Add Link and that’s it. Your post is now linked with your anchor text. (See Pictures Below for Assistance)
- Admin Bar – Link WordPress.com blogs, now if we access our domain or blog while logged in, we are presented with a handy Admin Bar.
Before this, all we had was Dashboard. But with Admin Bar we can do some quick work with Profile, Add new Post and Page, moderate and make comments, etc. It is perfect to say that Admin Bar was a much needed feature that is now available.
- There are some goodies for developers as well. New Post Format support, new Network Admin and new CMS capabilities, makes it easier to control what you imagine with WordPress.
With WordPress 3.1, it is now easier to connect with your blogging side and have fun and not to worry about fixing bugs and being troubled by scripts. So, hats off to WordPress, 3.1 is definitely a better CMS than before. So, don’t wait anymore, Download WordPress 3.1 right now.
