Android Market for Web is Live

Finally it’s here and live for everyone to use. Android Market is now open for business. It’s not like it was not before but everyone loves the easiness of purchase things online from PC as well, not just from an Android device, am I right?

Have a look at the picture and then we’ll discuss, how to purchase apps from Android Market website?

Android Market is Now LIve

Android Market Live

The images follow to Android Market website, so you may follow it as well without caring about any redirection. :)

Anyway, How to purchase apps from this new Android Market?

  • Let me first tell you that everything is neatly categorized and you’ll learn that only if you visit the website yourself.
  • You’ve got games and applications, and that is all you’re going to need.
  • Now when you click on some game or application, you’ll be taken to the page where you can have an overview of the game or application, have user reviews for your pleasure, see what’s new and view permissions involved with the app (games or applications).
  • Let’s say, we want to buy Need for Speed Shift for over high-class smartphone with Android.
  • You click on it and you’ll come to all those things that I mentioned above.
  • If you are not signed in, the website will tell you to sign-in before you can make a purchase (if you click on Buy). Don’t worry, you can sign-in with your Google account credentials.
  • The only problem is, you need to have an android smartphone linked to that particular google email account and I am pretty sure, if you are going to buy an app then you would have already linked your smartphone.
  • You have to access Android Market with an Android smartphone and they will be linked, so next time you’ll be able to purchase an app right from this web client and send it to your smartphone.
  • Purchasing is just as before. You have the option to pay via Credit cards, etc. We just have the option to view applications and games more clearly then before. Because, no matter what they say, 4.3-inch screen is still nowhere as close as to 40-inch, right?

Have fun using Android Market web client fellas! Ciao!

Flickr for Windows 7 and Windows Phone 7

Flickr has improved the application for a pleasant experience on Windows 7 and Windows Phone 7. The app for Windows Phone 7 will be able available for download on 31st Jan 2011.

Flickr has always been very keen to provide privacy for our lovely pictures, however, there are still some ways to fetch images from Flickr without violating terms and conditions.

In any case, it would be great to work with an app/software that’s especially for Flickr management. Like Picasa, Flickr should also allow some interesting features, like posting images to blog, share with multiple friends via email or social networking sites. You know, possibilities are endless and it’s just a matter of time before you see a review right on this blog.

So, stay tuned friends and don’t forget to watch the video below regarding Flickr app for Windows Phone 7 and Windows 7 with some amazing features or that’s how it is advertized anyway!

Skype Crashing on FaceTime Party | Video Calling on iPhone 4 for Free

Skype is looking to crush Apple’s flagship feature with free video calling that made every other company think twice before launching their latest gadgets after iPhone 4.

Now that we have several Smartphone with distinct features of their own, Skype is providing some relief for iPhone 4 (and earlier), iPad and iPod Touch users with free video calling feature on the internet and it’s better than Face Time because it is not bound by the law of Wi-Fi.

There are no limitations for iPhone 4 users; however, iPad and iPod Touch users need to understand some features they might miss if they are ready to download Skype for iPhones (or other iOS Devices, earlier than iPhone 4):

  • Skype video calling requires iOS 4.0 or above.
  • Send and receive video using front or rear camera on iPhone 4 and iPod touch 4th Generation.
  • Send and receive video using rear camera on iPhone 3GS.
  • Receive video only on iPad and iPod touch 3rd Generation.

You can see what’s so great about Skype, iPhone 4 has a high quality 5 mega pixels camera that’s capable of capturing 720 p video. I am pretty sure; none of you would want to have a chat with the front camera when the rear one can give you HQ video conferencing and that too, over Skype!

3D Web Browser for Windows Phone 7 : Surfcube

It’s just getting better and better. The experience with Windows Phone 7 is going to get even more exciting because now we have a 3D web browser for the latest Smartphone named Surfcube and it’s definitely pushing the limits of Windows Phone 7.
Features:
Like 3D desktops, where you get to work with 6 screens with just a swivel of mouse or finger (in case of touch screen), Surfcube also packs 6 screens to let you work with 6 screen without clicking anywhere.

Swiveling is much more fun than tapping the screen anyway. You can adjust what those 6 screen shows, however, by default, the center one is for your browser homepage and surfing, top one shows off a search bar and favorites (in case you’ve got a lot of favorites to dive in), on the right one (just next to surfing screen), you’ve got settings panel to adjust bandwidth usage, orientation settings and URL display while you browse the web.
