Firefox 3.6 is ready for Download!

Original Article

It's worth upgrading

Mozilla has finally released their 3.6 for official download. No more beta versions for testing purpose. Click on ‘Update’ Firefox button and it will detect latest version of Firefox as soon as it connects to Mozilla’s server. This finally download is 10.6 MB in size and will definitely pump your browsing experience to a whole new level.

Why do you need Firefox 3.6?

Well, as a matter of fact many people or internet users can answer it in just one word. That’s ‘Speed’.

Yep, that’s right. Speed is all that matters right now. Google’s chrome is claimed to be ‘the fastest’ browser among other browsing platforms. Anyways, with Firefox, you get much better support than you do with Chrome. You know what I mean, not every application is supporting ‘Chrome’ right now. Take ‘Roboform’ for instance.

So, let’s talk a bit or two about latest version of Firefox, i.e. Firefox 3.6

  1. Customize: You can personalize your Firefox by using themes known as Persona’s in ‘Firefox’s’ language.
  2. Plug-in Updater – Well, you wouldn’t be surprised if you’ve been using beta version of Firefox 3.6. But just in case if you haven’t, I would like to tell you that Plug-in Updater will recognize any out-of-date plug-in out of your several plug-ins and will either Update them or will disable them.

Not a totally unique one, isn’t it? It was there for a long time!

3. Most Stable Version: Do you remember when you used to open Firefox and it would say that Firefox crashed and they were ‘embarrassed’ about that.

Well, it used to happen due to third party software. But now we will enjoy ‘the most stable version of Firefox’.

I just want to see the change in ‘statement’ when it crashes again :) .

4. Performance: As I said this is the only reason for what you need Firefox 3.6. Mozilla has used HTML 5 audio and video support. That means, videos will now support poster frames.

I hope you’ll update yours soon enough. As a matter of fact, I guess that I am pretty late and you might have already upgraded your version. Anyways, good luck enjoying it.

But I have contacted their suppport and they are developing the Chrome version now, so it will be alive in next quarter.

That’s sad. i was already thinking about replacing roboform with stickypassword because lack of multi-browser support. But i guess i’ll have to stick with Roboform untill Stickypassword is developed enough to support all browsers.
I personally think that it should’ve supported ‘Opera’ if not any other. It currently supports 12 web browsers but only 2 of them are widely used.
Let’s hope they develop this feature soon.

Well I think that nobody will add support for Opera, because they are very “private” and “closed” to anyone and don’t share their API’s and libraries, so this is bad luck.

Then may be ‘stick password’ must’ve supported chrome. Anyways, are u in web designing or something?

          • Pedro

Yes, making it available for Chrome is possible. Lets see how long will it take to them to develop it. No, I am in software development, but I know about web also :-)

I use Sticky Password instead of Roboform and it is great.

Thanks for the comment. I’ll try this software as soon as possible. I hope it supports Chrome and safari.
