Kudo Tsunda talking about Kinect Preorder Sales

Kudo Tsunoda was clearly not feeling right when he made the statement. Isn’t that a bit too much?! However, the idea of playing games without the need of any controller seems nice but the idea has still a long way to go.

It has not been a long time, since we heard about 5 game titles from Japanese developers for Kinect. But as I said, we’re not very much impressed by them.

Now, Microsoft Game Studios manager Kudo Tsunoda is making statements on the preorder sales of Kinect. We get it that they were better than hoped, but are people really going to get Kinect just for five game titles?

Many games for kinect are yet in development, but they will be released by 2011. That’s my guess actually because after looking at the sales and responses of gamers on these five game titles for Kinect (click on the link above to get the drift), they will surely have to change their strategies and game play.

However, these high-wheels like Kudo Tsunodo don’t mind spreading words about their high-end devices. Don’t you rember when Steve JObs started talking about iPhone 4, “This will change everthing Again”? And it did change everything, in a different way of course.

Read what Kudo Tsunoda is spreading accross the Globe:

The preorders have been really strong. As far as what we’re looking at for Holiday, this is going to be stuff that’ll blow away any of the sales you’ve seen with iPad… The Xbox 360 is already selling better than the Wii and Sony right now. Kinect’s really just going to boost that to a whole new level.

Now, what we are going to see in near days, would be another statement from him, saying that a new and improved version of Kinect is coming because the previous version could not stay up to its task or ‘games’.

Microsoft Kinect is getting five new games from Japanese Developers

Microsoft introduced this Kinect technology to change the future of gaming forever. But it looks that we might have to wait for some real games that can test this technology for good.

However, for starting out, Kinect is going to get 5 new games from Japanese developers. These games are not totally overwhelming but we can have some fun while playing them.

Have a look at them:

1.       Codename D : It’s from Grasshopper Manufacture and a short teaser trailer was shown in E3 2010 about a guy kicking out a flaming baseball that could make people’s heads explode. It’s going to be M rated and would be fun to play.

However, if this game does feature too much blood and gore (not sure at this time) then it might feel controversies when it arrives.

2.      Steel Battalion Heavy Armor: I am hoping a great deal of fun from this game because the original Steel Battalion was just too much. Kinect doesn’t require some extra hardware (that’s what we are going to see anyway), so it would be interesting to play this game without an outrageous $200 controller.

3.      Project Draco: Possibly a dragon riding game and other creatures as well. When I think about it, we’ll have to take frequent brakes after riding a dragon because we can’t curve our legs for a long time, right?

4.      Rise of Nightmares: Adding a great genre to Kinect games, this is survival horror game and would be fun to play with all lights turned off.

We must not forget that survival horror games have always been great on PC as well as Consoles, and some people do prefer to play FPS (first-person shooter) horror games to take a good look at the horror the game has to offer.

That said, a survival horror game for Kinect would less us immerse in the game more than ever.

5.      Haunt: It is from NanaOn-Sha and Masaya Matsuura, who took music game genre to a new level. This game is also a survival horror game but doesn’t look too great in comparison to Rise of Nightmares. However, many would disagree as this game might include a touch of music genre.

Exact details are still unknown; we should better wait and look for more games to make way to Microsoft Kinect.
