The latest technology which is being widely used in current touch-screen devices is ‘capacitive touch’. This was like an amazing experience for a person who used to work on ‘resistive touch-screen’. But now it’s time to change it to a much better experience by applying quantum mechanics.

Paratech (a company from U.K.) has signed a deal with screen manufacturer, Nissha, to create a pressure sensitive technology which is going to be much better than ‘resistive technology’ (source).

How does it work?

There will be two conducting surfaces, much like what happens in capacitors. They will transfer electrons necessary for electrical functioning of device. Between them (two surfaces), there will be a polymer surface outfitted with 10 nm (nano-meter) conductive spikes.
