New LG’s Optimus One is going to get many other goodies from T-mobiles besides an Android 2.2. It is known as a Wi-Fi Calling app and will sure be able to turn many things around. We saw Wi-Fi video conferencing with Apple iPhone 4′s Face Time and now we are going to see some audio calls with Wi-Fi Calling app from T-Mobile. However, it would only be able for future Android devices and let’s not forget that Froyo, Ginger Bread and Honeycomb are the most awaited upgrade versions of Android. I must say that rather than being just mobile operating system upgrades, they will become something else with a whole new interface with our future mobiles. Look at the picture below to get what I want to say here:
Also, when it comes to ease, there is always something that is not that ‘easy’, isn’t that right? Apparently, Wi-Fi Callling app comes with some limitations and few are pretty quick to be guessed. One of them is, you can’t call when you don’t have a wi-fi network around (pretty easy, huh?) and another one is, as soon as you move out of your Wi-Fi radius, circle, points, etc. your call will be dropped without showing you any mercy (pretty easy again, ain’t it?).
So, at this point, you might be wondering as to how this app will change our expereicne to a better one. Well… look at it this way… soon, you will find other app developers competing for the same feature. Some might tell you your call quality depending on your Wi-Fi strength and some might even show you an area where you ought to be if you don’t want to drop your call and of course, some other apps focussed on this basic featuer by T-mobile, i.e. Calls over Wi-Fi.
As soon as I hear more of this, I’ll let you know. After all, you must also have several gates to achive one information, must you not?!
